Janusz Jan czy - sculptor, painter, university lecturer - born in 1974 in Tarnow, Poland. In 1999 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he studied sculpture in the atelier of Prof. Stefan Borzęcki and Prof. Jerzy Nowakowski. In 2000-2003 he studied at the Akademie der Bildenden Künste in Nuremberg in the studios of Prof. Tim Scott and Prof. Claus Bury. Between 2006 and 2009, he stiudied for a doctoral degree at the Department of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Since 2009, he has been a research and teaching fellow at the Department of Sculpture of his alma mater. He has participated in numerous collective and individual exhibitions and is a laurateam of academic scholarships and art competitions.
