Born in 1920 in Kielce. Since 1956, he studied art history at the Catholic University of Lublin. He was a co-founder of the Lublin art group "Castle". He took part in artistic endeavors: in the BiennaleForm Spatial in Elblag, in the Symposium Wroclaw '70, in the PleneraKoszalińska in Osieki, the Symposium of Artists and Scientists in Pulawy, in theSymposium of the Golden Grape in Zielona Gora. His first painting compositions can be described as metaphorical. Since 1958, the artist experimented with the surface of the painting, introducing non-marine, concrete materials.The most interesting experience of the artist were made in 1960-64 "formury", that is, paintings-objects of complex texture, molded in plaster.
