Jan Stokfisz Delarue was born in 1950 and studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Poznan in 1969-72 (later he was an employee of the university for several years). In 1977 he moved to France. With his work he reached many museums and private collections. Since 2007 he has been living and working in KAtowice and the south of France. The artist's works have been exhibited, among others, in France, England and the USA, and can be found in private and public collections (including the Museum of Contemporary Art of the City of Paris, Dal Flume Dante in Bologna, the collections of the Kennedy, Chaplin, J.M. Jarre, von Thurn und Taxis and Clinton families.
