Painter, educator, art critic, co-founder of the Paris Committee. In 1920-1921 he studied at the Academy of Art and Artistic Industry in Wroclaw under Otto Mueller. He continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under Jozef Pankiewicz (1921-1924). In 1924, with a group of Capists, he went to Paris, where their first exhibition took place at Galerie Zak in 1930. The artist was the leading figure of the K.P. group and the main proponent of its artistic ideology. The form and content of Cybis' painting was color, its luminosity extracted from the painting matter. In addition to rich texture, the painter's paintings are characterized by spontaneous expression.
