Jan Berdyszak (1934-2014)
Graduated in 1958 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań, where he studied sculpture. His painterly and spatial compositions are often accompanied by printmaking (gypsophore, woodcut). Since the 1990s Berdyszak created a series entitled Après passe-par-tou realized in the form of objects, installations, graphics. The main theme of his works and creative explorations was space - as a background, complement, penetration. He was a lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań and the author of many theatrical scenographic projects.
