Literature
Jagielski presents objects compiled from traditional matter, such as ceramic, stone, metal, wood, with ready-made elements - fragments of furniture, mirrors, bird feathers, carpet, walking stick. His works - constructed on the basis of specific juxtapositions and subtle transformations, contrasts and tensions between materials, using simple rules of physics - give the lie to our senses, allow us to succumb to the illusion that the law of gravity does not exist. They persist in suspension, tension or gently balance. An important part of the artist's objects are the titles of the works. It is they that set the direction of their various interpretations, open up whole strings of metaphorical associations, induce intellectual reflection."
