The work "Unsettled" from the series "Aberration of Memory" focuses attention on my personal history and images of loved ones. Using the family archive, catching personal and family memories, I reveal the "deviation" that is inevitable for this process - deviation from the norm, displacement or distortion of information. My name is Iurii Denysenkov, I am an artist. The main themes of my works are memory, time, reality and pseudo-reality. I am mainly engaged in painting. My paintings are a kind of archive of my own memory, I try to capture time. The starting point for creating paintings are photos from the family archive, fragments of films, or objects related to my history. This is an attempt to try to remember something important, to collect things that bother me. I want my work to look like the last frame of a film, torn, overexposed, haphazard, fleeting, with defects and cracks. It is a frame that is considered unimportant, almost destroyed, technically imperfect, because this is what my personal memory looks like in my mind.
