Ida Stańczyk,
Theater of Spring, 2020
The painting titled "Theater of Spring" is another canvas after "Backstage" that has references to the atmosphere of mystery that a theater stage spreads around it. However, again, the space in the painting resembles more of a backstage than a center stage - there is clutter all around, the actors have been replaced by sculpted heads. Into this stagnant, dusty scenery falls like crazy spring light, awakening unexpected patches of color and giving the dead figures a substitute of spirit and life for a few moments.
