Henryk Franciszek Starzyński - (1901- 1981), grandson of a Siberian exile. After becoming a citizen in 1932, he moved to Poland and settled in Cracow. Here he graduated from the State School of Artistic Industry and began a permanent cooperation with Robert Jahoda's Bookbinding Company in the field of graphic design and artistic book binding. At the same time, he taught at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts. He participated in numerous competitions and exhibitions. He designed posters, ex-librises, dealt with typography and lettering, did mural painting but above all painted watercolors. He was the initiator and president of the Watercolor Club at the Cracow district of ZPAP.
