provenance: private collection, Lubin Henryk Cześnik (1951, Sopot) is a graduate of the Polish Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland; he received his diploma in painting and graphic arts in 1977 in the studio of Kazimierz Ostrowski. He is a professor at his alma mater. In the early period of his career, he painted sacred subjects. A frequent theme is the deformed human silhouette.
