Grzegorz Worpus-Budziejewski (born 1986) - graduate of the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz, Poland. Studied in the Painting Studio of Prof. Włodzimierz Stelmaszczyk. Painter, designer, graphic designer. Professionally, he is also associated with the construction of film and advertising scenery. He lives in Warsaw, however, his heart is connected with his hometown Lodz. He has presented his works in solo and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad. In 2020, in the prestigious "Art in Architecture Festival" competition, KUOO ARCHITECTS Studio was awarded the "Golden Leonardo" for the design of the interior of the house, which included paintings by the artist, and sculptures by Willy Verginer and Marcin Rząsa, among others. The source of inspiration for the Sensual Landscape series was the landscape of the town of Amalfi in southern Italy, which the artist visited in 2009. The fleeting memories of sunrises and sunsets, blurred in the artist's imagination, resulted in lyrical landscapes, which have been created since 2015. To this day, the Sensual Landscape series has a multitude of loyal viewers. Gregory Worpus' paintings can be found in countless private collections in Poland and abroad. Sensual Landscapes or Landscapes of the Soul by Grzegorz Worpus Budziejewski are visions that stand out in fresh memory, the one that has not yet etched forever images of cities and distant places. Time here does not fit into color schemes. (...) Worpus' landscapes are acts of undisguised pictorial lyricism. Time and place are unrelated: what remains is a treatment that highlights images of fantastic shades of the sea (perhaps the Seas of Southern Europe?) or the blue hues of the high sky, perhaps even the same as the "Polono cielo" that Maria Leszczynska carried in her soul.
