Biography
Painter, happener, creator of social sculptures, observer of the spectacle of contemporary reality, in which he constructs uncomfortable and sometimes absurd situations. His work begins at the point where the brush touches the surface of the canvas, and ends with interventions to which the artist often involves random people. From 1992 to 1995, he studied at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Maria Curie-Sklodowska in Lublin, then from 2000 to 2007 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in the studios of painting under Jaroslaw Modzelewski and sculpture under Grzegorz Kowalski. In 2003 he founded the independent Action Center - Change of Organization of Movement ZOR. ?The artist is a two-time grantee of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, has participated in numerous group exhibitions min: POSTYLLA at the 4th Youth Triennial at the Polish Sculpture Center in Oronsko (2004), Intimate Architecture at the CCA Kronika in Bytom (2006), Establishment at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle (2008), Heart is a Lonely Hunter in France at Festival LILLE 3000 (2009). In addition, his solo exhibitions could be seen in Lublin at the Kont Gallery (2004), at the Polish Sculpture Center in Oronsko (2005), in the Swedish city of Umea at the Verklogheter Gallery (2005), at the CCA Ujazdowski Castle (2007), and most recently at the Warsaw Kordegarda (2009). In 2008 in Warsaw he presented Another City Another Life, a project referring to the transformation of the urban and public space of the capital in the context of similar processes taking place in other post-socialist cities. The artist lives in Warsaw.
