Self-taught painter, counted among the Surrealists. He grew up with his uncle residing in Vienna. In 1942 he made his way to France with his family and settled in Nice, where he made a living by making toys and painting in his spare time. After the war, he moved to England. In London, he showed his works at L'Arcade Gallery. In 1948, he returned to France and exhibited his works for the first time in Paris at an exposition of young artists, receiving a prize.
His paintings, held in the convention of Surrealism, were exhibited in many painting salons and were included in the collections of many museums and private collections.
