Biography
Painter, printmaker and interior designer and poster artist. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1933. Before the war he exhibited in Cracow, Warsaw and Poznan. In 1945 he became president of the Gliwice branch of ZPAP. He participated in the National Exhibition of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1953), the Exhibition of Painting at the National Museum in Warsaw (1961/62), the Exhibition of Painting at Zachęta (1965) and the International Triennial of Drawing in Wroclaw (1968) He had solo exhibitions in Bytom, Gliwice, Katowice and Szczecin. He painted compositions close to abstraction, in which colorful patches surrounded by strong contours create objects in still lifes or buildings in urban landscapes. The artist's works are in the National Museums in Cracow and Wroclaw.
