Jerzy Flisak (1930-2008) - graduated in architecture from the Warsaw University of Technology (1953). Counted among the most outstanding Polish poster artists. He illustrated books (more than 150 titles) and children's magazines, satirical works, was an author of stage designs, worked on animated films and advertising graphics. He worked with the magazines "Płomyk", "Płomyczek", as well as the satirical magazine "Szpilki", in which he also served as graphic editor. He has received numerous awards for his artwork. His name was on the IBBY Honor List (1986).
