Eve Pello (b. 1964), Gli Amanti di Lucca, 2022

In 1983-89 she studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. She defended her diploma in 1989 in the studio of Prof. Zbyslaw Maciejewski. She has won many awards and prizes, including: at the National Pastel Biennale, Nowy Sącz (1st prize, 1994), the National Pastel Biennale, Nowy Sącz (honorable mention, 1996), the Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting, Szczecin (honorable mention, 1998), the 2nd National Pastel Biennale (2nd prize, 2000). The artist masterfully operates light in her paintings, it intensifies the atmosphere of mystery and understatement.
