Eric Lapoureau - French painter, born in 1951 in Puteaux, near Paris. He graduated in printmaking from the École Supérieure des Arts Graphiques in Paris in 1975. He initially worked as a newspaper illustrator, but soon devoted himself exclusively to his art career. His works are regularly shown in group and solo exhibitions in France and the United States, and are also in private collections in France, England, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands and the United States. He often uses a limited color palette, dominated by beiges and browns. He creates mysterious, mystical landscapes, which sometimes feature hazy, indistinct figures. These dreamlike scenes seem to open a window to another world for the viewer, which we are more guessing than seeing.
