Biography
Studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, he graduated in the studio of Professor Eugeniusz Eibisch in 1970. In 1966, he created his most numerous series, which was "Hitchhiking Journeys." In the 1980s Dwurnik's painting became expressive and dramatic. In the 1990s, he created a continuation of "Hitchhiking Journeys," namely "Blue Cities," "Diagonal," "Blue" and "Enumeration." He received the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Award in 1981, the Solidarity Cultural Award in 1983, and the Coutts and Co International Private Banking Award in Zurich. He participated in Documenta 7 in Kassel in 1982, the Nouvelle Biennale de Paris in 1985 and the XIX Art Biennale in Sao Paulo in 1987.
