In 1963-70 he studied painting, printmaking and sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1965 he began work on a series of drawings and watercolors, and from 1966 oil paintings "Hitchhiking Journeys" - characteristic views of cities from a bird's eye view (continued to this day). Since 1970, more than a dozen other cycles of paintings were created, including "Sportsmen" in 1972-1978, showing caricatured and cartoonish characters of everyday life during the communist era. Among the subsequent series of paintings were two series dedicated to the tragic fate of people caught up in history: in "Road to the East" (1989-1991) Dwurnik commemorates the victims of Stalinism, and in "From December to June" (1990-1994) the victims of martial law in Poland. Other series include min. "Portrait" (since the 1970s), "Workers" (1980s), "Long Live War!" (1991-1993), "Blue Cities" (since 1993), "Diagonal" (since 1996), "Enumeration" (since 1996). He participated in dozens of group exhibitions. Individually, he presented his works at monographic exhibitions, among others, in 2001 at the Zachęta Gallery in Warsaw.
