Painter, graphic artist, creator of wall painting projects. After studying at the Poznan High School of Fine Arts in 1935, he entered the State School of Decorative Arts in Poznan (later: the State Institute of Fine Arts). During World War II, he was a Prisoner of the Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg concentration camp. After the war, he continued further artistic studies at PISP in the Printmaking Studio of Professor Jan Wroniecki. Since 1948, he actively exhibited his works, participating in more than 70 group exhibitions. He has held 9 solo exhibitions, including 5 in the Federal Republic of Germany. Many of his paintings are currently in private collections, including foreign collections.
The artist's initial work, until the mid-1960s, was characterized by the strong influence of the tenets of Polish Colorism. A number of artistic journeys undertaken by the artist since 1965 influenced the formation of an individual style of his mature painting inspired primarily by the paintings of the old masters.
