Biography
Dorota Grynczel graduated from the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts, receiving her diploma with honors in 1977 in the studio of Jan Tarasin and Wojciech Sadley. She worked in artistic textiles and easel painting. She was a grantee of The Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York (1992) and the Stefan Batory Foundation in Warsaw (1993). She was the first ever female dean of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 2012-2016.
