Polish artist, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she defended her diploma in 1977 in Prof. Jan Tarasin's studio. She has worked in easel painting and unique textiles. Scholarship holder of The Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York (1992) and the Stefan Batory Foundation in Warsaw (1993), she was the first woman in the history of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts' Faculty of Painting to become dean (2012-2016). She has won numerous national and international awards, and has been awarded, among others, the Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art (1976); the Silver Block at the 7th International Biennale in Brussels (1996); the Bronze Medal at the 9th International Triennale of Textiles in Łódź (1998); a Distinction (2002) and 2nd Prize (2005) at the 4th. and 5th Triennial of Polish Drawing in Lubaczow; Bronze Medal at the 6th International Biennial of Tapestry From Lausanne to Beijing in Zhenhzhou, China (2010); Distinction and ZPAP Award at the 14th International Triennial of Tapestry in Lodz (2013). She has presented her works in more than 20 solo exhibitions at home and abroad, including.
