Dawid Czycz was born in 1986 in Cracow.
He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (diploma in the atelier of
painting studio of Prof. Leszek Misiak in 2011). Scholarship holder of the residency program
Artist-in-Residence, BMUKK in Vienna (Austria, 2012). Winner of the Distinction
Editor's Choice Award from "Gazeta Wyborcza" Katowice in the 43rd Bielska Jesień Painting Biennale
2017, as well as an honorable mention in the 44th edition of Bielska Jesień 2019
(2019). Author of solo exhibitions: "Black Noise" at Wozownia Art Gallery in
Torun (2018), "Not to Look" at Arttrakt Gallery in Wroclaw (2016), as well as
as well as exhibitions presented at Zderzak Gallery in Krakow: "Woodland" (2015),
"Solid Bodies" (2011) and "On Defects" (2010). He has participated in many exhibitions
group exhibitions, including: "Grayscale," White Gallery, Lublin (2018); Krakow Salon of
Art, Palace of Art, Krakow (2018); "Good Luck" Yuki-Sis Gallery, Tokyo
(Japan, 2018); "No Problem," Potencja Gallery, Krakow (2017); Biennale

wonderful new worlds, in which artistic fantasy masterfully manipulates the
contemporary language of pop culture imagery. Dynamic and at the same time full of
harmony compositions tell the story of moods and emotions in today's world.
