Daniel Pielucha - Polish Surrealism
Born in 1959 in Wieluń, Poland. Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where he received his diploma from the Department of Graphic Arts in Katowice in 1985. The type of easel painting practiced by the artist is called "POLISH SUPERREALISM". In his works, the painter, following the example of his great predecessors, looks for features that testify to the distinctiveness of our culture. With great respect for the workshop and history of Polish painting, he emphasizes its unique character. He finds inspiration in the retiring landscape of our province, and therefore willingly participates in the most important plein airs of figurative art. The folklore of the Polish countryside, beliefs and customs are the scenery of the painter's visions, in which the author expresses his attitude to the modern world and the existence of others. The painter presented his work at solo exhibitions in Katowice, Oświęcim, Częstochowa, Glogówek, Szczyrk, Warsaw, Sieradz, Gniezno, Zielona Góra, Gorlice and Ilawa. He represented Polish art at group exhibitions in Berlin, Stockholm, New York and Mexico.
