Boguslaw Franciszek Górecki, painter, graphic artist and illustrator, belongs to the oldest generation of living Gdansk painters. He was born in 1932 in the Braslav Lake District, today located in Belarus and Lithuania. He finished his art studies just after the war.
The author himself, aware of the passing years, is very reserved when talking about his painting, as if he felt a great lack of appreciation and sought understanding and acceptance for his art. In my opinion, completely unnecessarily because it is impossible to falsify history, colorist art was and will be a certain important period, the continuation of painting of the 1920s, the development of Polish art of Jozef Pankiewicz and his students.
