ALEKSANDRA BOCIAÑSKA was born in 1997 in Radomsko. In 2017
began her studies at the Faculty of Painting of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in
Cracow. Currently a fourth-year student in the painting studio of Prof. Adam Brincken and the
Drawing studio of Dr. Rafał Borcz.
Her recent painting explorations focus on light and fire - primordial phenomena
being an essential aspect in existence. The appealing source of heat has a dual nature,
it also carries horror and destruction. Light mesmerizingly makes a moth deceived by its charms
can easily get burned. The line between safety and danger seems to be increasingly
disappearing more and more.
