Signed and dated and described on the back: Barbara Warsaw/ Krakow 2023 /"SMALL FORMAT"/ From the series Black on White Delta/ "POINT".
The cycle BLACK ON WHITE, like probably everything the artist creates, was created in a certain "here and now" becoming a kind of record of what was is and will be. In this series, writing was used as a painting medium, ink, ink on an acrylic substrate creates an image from the record, creating something like white noise. Seemingly inconspicuous quiet images hide the power of existence, they seem to be beyond time.
BLACK ON WHITE - DELTA is a continuation of the BLACK ON WHITE series. The artist Rita Zimmermann knocked on the door of a small studio in Cracow, whose windows overlook the street. Looking around, she opened a catalog, and when she saw one of the paintings from the series, she said that she would like to meet the author of this work, and here it turned out that she had just found herself in her studio.... Through the meeting she barely made it on the plane, but managed to convince Barbara Wroniszewska to continue the series. The consequence of this event is a work dedicated to Rita - DELTA which started - BLACK ON WHITE - DELTA.
"I have been writing diaries for several years. One evening, focusing on the past day, I hung my gaze on the blank white wall of the living room. With my imagination, I began to record the space with the past day. I was impressed by what appeared. The wall began to live, vibrate, hum about existence... Quiet, simple, engaging. The seed of imagination began to grow.
More than a year the concept was building: what, how, with what to visualize the beauty experienced with imagination? Eventually, I decided to create a series of paintings built by recording the dynamics of time as it is here and now, a fascinating and mysterious point from which the past and the future emerge simultaneously(...)"
