Barbara Stajkowska (born July 7, 1985) - graphic designer, painter, passionate about photography. 13 -'16 Graduate of the University of Arts in Poznan, Faculty of Graphic Design and Visual Communication. She defended her diploma in graphic design under the direction of Prof. Miroslaw Pawlowski in the publishing design studio. '10 -'12 Graduate of the AP Education (Poznań) photography studio. '09 - '10 Graduate of the TEB Computer Graphics Studio (Poznan). She does graphics, painting, drawing and occasionally photography. However, she has a special passion for painting, which in her performance departs from the current standards of representing the world. She creates paintings using various tools and painting techniques with an emphasis on oil painting. "Interpretations" is the first solo exhibition of Barbara Stajkowska's paintings. The collection includes works created in 2015 - 2017 where painting of colorful planes, action and gesture dominate. These are mainly landscapes and still lifes created using oil and mixed techniques on canvas and cardboard backgrounds. Scenes, included in the works have lost their figurative character. The author has permanently entrenched herself in the direction of abstract expressionism. With her art she does not try to impose a specific issue on the viewer, giving the possibility of any unlimited interpretation of her paintings. The approach is the result of a worldview, as she believes that imposed on a person a certain "direction" of thinking, does not allow to freely interact, experience and interpret the work. The author's main goal is to pour her emotions onto the viewer and give him a peculiar charge of energy.
