Anna Piórek - born in 1967 in Walbrzych .Interest in art, and in particular in painting was already revealed in the years of
adolescence.
Since the mid-80s she has devoted herself to painting. He mainly does easel painting in
oil and acrylic technique experiments with media so as to achieve a satisfactory
effect.
The leitmotif of his paintings is landscape, still life, abstraction and
architecture. This follows a fascination with the paintings of Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Camille
Pisarro, Vincent van Gogh. He also draws inspiration for his works from close contact with
nature, and from his many travels.
His interest in Impressionist paintings continues. The play of light and color
fascinate the artist.
In the works of Anna Piórek appear landscapes and architecture of her native land and those
"saved" from her travels. The artist's works are characterized by expression revealed in the combination of
bright, colorful spots, giving the impression of a colorful mosaic. All this
makes the images look as if painted from imagination or dreamlike visions, rather than existing.
dreamy visions and not existing in reality.
The artist has developed her own way of depicting the world, which does not fit into scientific
patterns, not using convergent perspective and classical chiaroscuro shows
her view of the reality around her.
The works, through their unique character carry an emotional charge,
rejecting the existing norms.
The artist has repeatedly presented her paintings at group and
individual among others in Olsztyn, Warsaw, Rzeszow, Sieradz, Grudziądz,
Zamosc. Her paintings are in private collections in Poland: Krakow,
Gdansk, Poznan, Lodz, Wloclawek and abroad in Neuss, Aachen, Dusseldorf,
Paris, San Sebastian and Chicago.
