A superb composition, with the artist's characteristic expressive, dynamic form, created in Saint-Cloud, France. The 1960s were a time of increased artistic activity for Alfred Lenica. At the invitation of the United Nations in 1960, he painted a large-format composition "Three Elements" in Geneva. The same city also hosted his solo exhibition at the Ferrero Gallery. In 1962 he was awarded the Grand Prix at the First Festival of Polish Contemporary Painting in Szczecin. In the middle of the decade, he became a member of the Cracow Group. He presented his works both in Poland and abroad. For example, he exhibited at the Arsenal in Poznan, the Krzysztofory Gallery in Krakow, during Warsaw's Confrontations 63, as well as in New York, Edinburgh and Geneva.
