Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (painting studio of Prof. Stefan Gierowski). She presented her first solo exhibition in London at the Greek Street Gallery (1994). In the same year, she also took part in the "Artistic Event" project at the former Norblin Works in Warsaw, which was a theatrical show with live percussion music and a fashion revue, of which she was the author and director. She chose unconventional venues to present her works: the Muza Gallery in Warsaw (2000), and the Między Nami Gallery (2001). At that time she was still painting semi-abstract paintings, but already with a nude female figure present against the background of, as she puts it: "a chorus of people." She also participated in several group exhibitions: Awakening, Palace Gallery, Warsaw 1998, Sacrum Today, Contemporary Art Gallery, Kielce 2000, Freshly Painted, Karowa Gallery, Warsaw 2002. After these shows, especially those taking place in fashionable and opinionated venues, Chaberek came to prominence in the Warsaw art community as a painter, although her proper breakthrough came in 2002 with the project "Room of Purification" presented during the Star Festival in Międzyzdroje. For this work in 2003. Aleksandra Chaberek received a nomination for the Polityka Passport. The artist qualified for the final hundred in the 2003 Picture of the Year competition. She also took part in exhibitions: Art and Business on the Common Road, At the Center for Contemporary Art Warsaw 2003. In 2004, she participated in two major projects: Warsaw in Vilnius - Vilnius in Warsaw and Warsaw in Kiev (November), presenting a wide panorama of the most important Polish contemporary artists to the audience of our eastern neighbors. Aleksandra Chaberek's recent exhibitions took place at the Karowa Gallery in Warsaw (April 2005) and the Nizio Gallery (September 2005).
