Agnieszka Zawisza received her diploma with distinction in 2000 in the Studio of Professor Rajmund Ziemski, while she received an appendix in Lithography in the Studio of Professor Władysław Winiecki at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She received her Doctor of Fine Arts degree in 2019, while under the supervision of Professor Aleksandra Gieraga, at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. The artist has had many solo and group exhibitions, and is constantly active as an animator of cultural life. She is co-author of the multimedia project Matkopolko, which refers to the condition of the mother-artist in contemporary society.
In her artistic activities, her interest in the motif of water, open space and, above all, landscape, first seen in a glimpse, then reinterpreted on the picture plane, is manifested in various ways. To create her painting message of the surrounding reality, the artist uses effects obtained through formal experiments, including various ways of applying paint, which is spilled, imprinted, applied in layers, opaque and transparent .
