Agata Rościecha-Kanownik - (born 1968), graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Scholarship and studies at the Akademie Der Bildenden Künste in Nuremberg in the studio of Painting, Printmaking and Object Art of Prof. Rolf-Gunter Dienst. In 2000, she received a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage's Fund for the Promotion of Creativity. In 2002 she received her doctoral degree and in 2014 her postdoctoral degree in fine arts from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Since 2004, she has been teaching drawing and painting at the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Academy in Cracow. In her do- dow has dozens of individual and collective exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Winner of awards including: Medal of the Society of Fine Arts in Krakow at the Salon of Painting and Sculpture, 1st Prize of the President of the City of Tarnów at the Spring Salon, 3rd Prize of the Minister of Culture and Art at the National Pastel Biennial in Nowy Sącz, distinction of Art&Business and Grand Prix of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage at the 4th International Pastel Biennial in Nowy Sącz.
