Oil, canvas, 50 x 70 cm, signed p.d. and described on the back

Adam Swoboda was born in 1956. In 1982, he graduated from the Higher Maritime School in Gdynia. In 1988, he received a license to practice as a visual artist from the Ministry of Culture and Art and two years later, membership in the Association of Artists Polish Applied Arts. In his painting, he explores the contrast between reality and imagination. The artist has found that surrealism best captures the atmosphere and poetics of the sea, which is almost always present in his works. The artist's paintings feature realistic details and those that are legible only to people interested in marine subjects. The artist's works can be seen at contemporary art auctions, online galleries and in stationary galleries. His paintings are also in the collection of the Maritime Museum in Gdansk. Since 1987, he has had many solo exhibitions in the country and participated in group exhibitions, including abroad.
