Biography
Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan (Photography and Multimedia), scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage (2008). He also studied philosophy. He works with photographic series developed sometimes for several years using painstaking and demanding technologies. Although some of his work can be read as an interesting anthropological study, a very important area in his work is the semantics of the image or references to the experience of historical photography. Bownik lives and works in Warsaw.
