mixed technique (acrylic, flake gold), canvas, 80 x 100 cm, signed on the back
Country and city of residence of the Artist:
Poland, Warsaw
General information:
Julia's works reflect her fascination with abstract art, which explores the possibilities of minimalist composition and reveals a new illusion of perception. In the words of the artist herself, "Each painting is built in layers with an artistic proportion of forms. The contrast of the accent with the surrounding space creates the impression of depth and volume with the help of gold lines and shadows from them on a white background, created with the sfumato technique. Where the gold lines intersect, the shadows are deepest, creating an impression of infinite depth, an illusion of penetration into space that seems to extend beyond the boundaries of the canvas, while the light seems to pull inexorably inward. The white depth is the best of the past imprinted in our hearts, the golden line with the falling shadow is the break between the past and the present, and the rest of the composition of the painting takes us into everyday life, which opens new horizons."
