Biography
Studied at the Faculty of Arts at the University of Zielona Gora from 1997 to 2002. Originator and founder of the Mature Art Workshop (2002). He lives in Warsaw. Taking the "garbage" of material culture as his starting point, Matecki produces painterly entities - paintings, objects, installations - that measure up to the present. The artist's solo exhibitions have been held in Warsaw's Zachęta, CCA Ujazdowski Castle and Raster Gallery, as well as in Berlin and London galleries. In 2015, his works were included in the collection of the National Museum in Warsaw.
