acrylic, white ink, handmade paper "Cepelia", 46 x 38 cm
He was born in 1990 in southern Poland. He is a self-taught artist, although he studied photography for several years. Although a non-believer himself, he is most fascinated by folk mysticism. In his work, he draws profusely from the visual codes of folk art from the entire Slavic area, without, however, trying to reproduce specific techniques or aesthetics of a particular region and period. In his works, he tries to combine the aesthetic gruffness of medieval miniatures with the baroque richness of patterns and colors of folk artists-primitives. His main means of expression are simple acrylic paintings on found furniture plywood, and he also creates ink graphics or multicolored bright illustrations using markers.
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine intensified his sense of frustration and helplessness, he finally decided that the easiest way to help would be through what he can do best, which is art.
