160x120 cm, 2022, oil/canvas
A unique painting work by Leszek Markuszewski. The painting is hand-painted on a primed canvas sub-image. The work refers to geometric abstraction with the use of dominant colors: reds and half-shadows. The work is characterized by a balanced composition, which the artist balances with the use of forms and colors in his painting.
Leszek Markuszewski graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 2003-2008. He earned his diploma in 2009 in the painting studio of Prof. Marek Sapetto. He made an annex to his diploma in artistic textiles in the studio of Prof. Dorota Grynczel. He wrote a theoretical thesis under Prof. Wojciech Wlodarczyk, on the topic: 'What is art?' Leszek is a Renaissance Man. He works in painting, visual art, conceptual art, design, architecture and art theory. He is also a co-founder of the art formation La Grupa.
