Biography
In 1982-87 studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. He obtained his diploma in the studio of Kazimierz Ostrowski. In 1995 he received his doctorate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (habilitation in 2004 at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk). Since 1989, he has worked in the Department of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology. He is a member of the Council of the university's Faculty of Architecture. In 1995-2003 he co-founded the Kolo Gallery in Gdansk. He works in painting and photography, and since 1994 has been doing monumental painting in public space. Since 2000, he has been carrying out the Fringe project. He has been exhibiting since 1986, and his works are in collections and private collections at home and abroad, including: Australia, Austria, Holland, Canada, Germany and Switzerland.
