Jakub Godziszewski - Ostrowian, born in 1989. Graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Arts in Kalisz at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Painting, 2012 and Artistic Education in Fine Arts, 2014). Multiple scholarship recipient of the Rector of UAM. Award-winner, awarded the title of Personality of Ostrów Culture (2015 and 2018); also honored with the Laurel of Culture by the Ostrów Starost (2020). He works in painting, drawing and flake gilding. He is interested in the human condition and the aesthetics of the human body. In search of inspiration, he also reaches out to the natural world, balancing between waking and dreaming. He draws on the workshop achievements of the old masters practicing painstaking and time-consuming laser painting, often supplemented with flakes of precious and semi-precious metals. Author of solo exhibitions and participant in many group exhibitions in the country and abroad, including: the USA, Switzerland, Spain, France, Great Britain, Belarus and Italy.
