Biography
Graduated from the University of Lodz at the Faculty of Economics, but most of her professional life has been associated with artistic fields. For more than 15 years she was engaged in creating jewelry. For several years, she has been successfully painting. Geometric, simple forms and sharp lines are the features that best characterize Iza Kozlowska's painting. She masterfully uses color, in her works colors intermingle to create spatial compositions. She feels good in both saturated, intense colors and shades of gray. Emphasized edges, often in contrasting or golden colors, have become her trademark. She paints under the influence of the moment and emotions. Subsequent works vary dramatically in color and subject matter. Sometimes the canvases are like colorful fabrics, other times raw like computer graphics. Hard-Edge and Op-Art influences are clearly visible in her works and, as she notes, she draws most from these directions. Horacio Garcia Rossi, Victor Vasarely, Bridget Riley, Richard Paul Lohse, Frank Stella and their works are important sources of inspiration for the artist.
