Drawing artist, computer graphics artist and painter whose work is characterized by exceptional expression and extraordinary artistic sense. His works are filled with surreal motifs, reflecting the artist's extraordinary imagination and his inner world to which he takes his viewers.
He was born in a small Pomeranian town, which played an important role in shaping his inspirations and motifs.
Igor's works are full of various nuances and symbols that provoke the viewers to reflection and interpretation. Each work is like discovering a mysterious labyrinth, where the veracity of life, the struggle with one's own existence and the intricacies of the psyche, which so often plays tricks on us, meet. The artist skillfully explores the limits of imagination, creating surreal compositions in which symbolic motifs allude to emotions, fears and dreams.
Igor began his studies at the graphics department of the Polish-Japanese Academy of Computer Technology in Gdansk, where he specialized in graphic design. There he earned a bachelor's degree, developing his skills and deepening his knowledge of computer art. He then continued his education at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, where he studied at the intermedia department.
After graduation, Igor began his professional career as a chief computer graphics designer at Quantum Technologies. His skills and creativity contributed to many successful projects, and his work stood out for its precision and innovative approach to computer graphics. He later joined the Actum Lab team as a Graphic Artist-3D, where he continued to develop his artistic skills and experiment with various techniques.
However, the young artist's true passion is drawing. He mastered to perfection the creation of works with a rapidograph and ink, using only one color - black. In his works, the white of the page plays the role of light, which gives them an unusual atmosphere and characteristic expression. His works are often surreal in nature, and sometimes he uses symbols in them, which he draws from the reality around him.
Symbols that often appear in Igor's works are trains, tracks and railroad lines. These motifs are directly related to the small town where the artist lived for most of his life. Close to his home was a train station and factories giving the small town a post apocalyptic atmosphere. These elements inspired him, while also influencing the mysterious and dark stylistic nature of his works.
Several of Igor's extensive drawing series were created during his daily travels on the Tricity railroad It was on the train that he found peace and inspiration to create. While traveling, he was able to concentrate in an unusual way, pouring his daily dilemmas onto paper. He became, in a sense, a performer, drawing in front of the eyes of people traveling by train. This specific atmosphere of traveling and sharing this momentary moment with other people became an integral part of Igor's work.
Igor Jop is an artist who is constantly searching for new forms of expression and experimenting with different techniques. His works are full of emotion and reflect his personal perception of the world.
