In 2022 the artist painted a series of paintings called "Bulls from the Caucasus." The title is rather ambiguous, since its creator is not only the zodiacal bull, but also comes from this region. The above-mentioned series is composed of 12 oil works, maintained in the artist's characteristic colors, enchanting the viewer with energy and dynamism. The artist has already taken up this theme many times in his work .
The bull is associated with physical strength, stubbornness and heaviness. It is also a symbol of diligence and endurance. Already in prehisotric times it was surrounded by reverence. This magnificent animal, often awe-inspiring, agreed to cooperate with man with which it secured a mythical status through the Egyptian Apis, the golden calf in the Bible, to sacred cows in India. And so is the bull "which David tookby the horns " - strong, a bit feisty, brave, stubborn and hardy; young and frisky like Fernando. Looking at these images, we can succumb to the extraordinary charm of the animals depicted, but we must remember that every bull, even the gentlest one, has a horned soul.
