Lot description Show orginal version
Grade: UNC/AU
Reference: Kopicki 51 (R1); Stronczyński 42bb

A distinctive denarius depicting St. Adalbert, the patron saint of Gniezno, on the reverse.
Rich in varieties differing mainly in the marks on the sides of the knight.
A very rare variant with the letters N( reversed) and B on the sides of the prince, plus, on both sides of the coin, a sun.

A piece of exceptional beauty, absolutely mint, with sharp relief and intense luster.
Superbly preserved original texture of the stamp, mint freshness of the plate.
The most beautiful, in our opinion, representative of this inscription variety.
We definitely recommend it - a unique numismatic piece.

obverse: bust of a prince in front with a sword in his right hand, on the sides mint marks N - B and a sunflower
reverse: a bishop (St. Adalbert) with a pastoral and a bible, above a sunflower
