Eighteenth century blunderbuss, Brass barrel, widened at the end called ( trumpet ), barrel ended with two brass rings overlapping each other. In the Bottom part rounded, with two reliefs on each side.
The butt, the bed made of darkened wood, the bed long reaching to the outline of the barrel ring. Elongated flask on the shape with a profiled neck, finished with a steel foot. Rocker lock of the French type. Steel lock plates not signed. Trigger-tongue guard of steel, decorated with a light ornament. The underside of the bed shows a channel and two bushings and a place for a stamp.
The design of the Humpback was developed in the 16th century in the Netherlands, with the purpose of a naval weapon, the extended barrel was to facilitate loading the rifle during troubled voyages. The weapon was also used during street fighting. Loaded with large bullets, lead shot or chop.
