Preserved in excellent condition early M35 steel helmet in infantry (Wehrmacht) paint scheme, manufactured between 1935-1940. Both decals (so-called M35 DD) preserved. On the left side a decal with a German silver eagle on a black background, sitting on a swastika. On the right side a shield in the colors of Germany (black, white and red). Complete helmet including interior and chin strap. On the side of the shield the signature ET62 (Manufacturer Eisenhüttenwerke, Thale, size 62). On the back of the nut the serial number is visible. A very large amount of so-called "Applegreen" paint, used at the beginning of World War 2, especially during the invasion of Poland (Defensive War/Spring Campaign of 1939) and the invasion of France in 1940. Facing and strap leather elastic.
In this condition a great rarity and a sought-after piece for a serious collection.
