The main tasks of the formation are to determine the causes, premises and circumstances of crimes and other offenses committed in military units and military facilities; to search for persons who voluntarily left military units (places of duty), to prevent and combat crimes and other offenses in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to participate in the protection of military facilities and to maintain public order and military discipline among military personnel in places of deployment of military units, military localities, streets and public places.
