Hand closed, brass binding. The yoke is sigmoidal, with the rear arm curled towards the head. The front arched upward to form a bail, connected by a catch under the head to the bolt. Handle shaft wooden, cross-notched, covered with leather and laced with brass filigree. The cap is short, riveted from the top with the mandrel of the head. On the inside of the bail minted numerators and a receiving punch - the letter "A" topped with a crown, the letter "B" with a star in the shield. On the underside of the front shoulder of the hilt minted: the letter "E" and the number "246". The steel hilt, polished, of considerable curvature, profiled on both sides into a single, wide dorsal furrow, reaching a short, double-edged pen. Stich in line with the spine. On the outer sill minted signatures: "letter A" surmounted by a crown in an oval, letter "B" surmounted by a star in an oval. On the spine the inscription "Mnufre Nle dep Chatellerault Xbre 1850". P o c h w a steel, polished, with two riffles, with movable cusps on the back side. Neck fixed in the scabbard sheath with two rivets. The scabbard ended with a prominent, asymmetrical spur. On both sides of the ring of the upper riffle minted numerators.
