Hand closed, steel frame. Cross-barbed yoke, the rear arm curled in a teardrop towards the head, the front arm, bent in the shape of a half-sword, forms a bail with a slot for a sling in the upper part. Wooden shaft, cross-notched, with remnants of leather lining. Cheek cap, gripped at the hilt with a ring, riveted at the top with the shaft of the head. In the cheeks a transverse rivet. The blade of steel, polished, with moderate curvature. Profiled on both sides in one furrow and a narrow paring furrow. The groove grind from the low sill reaches a short, double-edged pen. The hilt in line with the spine. On the back the maker's signature: "Manufre Rle de Châtellerault avril 1843". P o c h w a s solid, steel, with an antabka on the inner side of the ring and a fixed butt on the back. Neck fixed in the scabbard sheath by two screws. The spur is asymmetrical. Metal parts of the handle and scabbard corroded.
With sabers wz 1873 we often find French heads, coming from the Prussian capture in the war of 1870-1871.
